In the spring, we ceremonially herd some of our animals to the farm's own Alpine pasture, where they enjoy the delicious Alpine herbs for about 120 days in the year. The flavour of these herbs is also in the superb milk that we process into Tyrolean grey cheese and butter when time permits. When the winter spreads its snow-white coat across the valley, the Alpine hut, which is about four kilometres away from the farm, can be used by our house guests as a place to rest. The Huberalm at a glance

Altitude: About 1,850 m
Location: At the head of the Mühlbach valley (Valle di Riomolino) in the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park (Parco Naturale Vedrette di Ries-Aurina), about 4 km from the Huberhof
On foot from the farm: About 50 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on the route
In summer: Open for visitors, with simple alpine dishes and fresh milk
Our animals: Some of our animals spend about 120 days a year up at the Huberalm
In winter: A place for our guests to rest; a sledge run leads from the Huberalm through the Mühlbacher Talile down to the car park
